Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) looks set to snatch their third consecutive National Games title. Services extended their lead at the top of the medals table that they had established on Day eight by winning 9 gold medals. Earlier at the end of day seven, Services had a total of 42 golds.
Services Remain Unchallenged At Top
Services have 51 gold medals now after the end of Day nine. Maharashtra is second in the table with 27 golds. Services also have 16 silver and 17 bronze medals in their kitty. Haryana continued to pile up the pressure on Maharashtra and has an equal number of Gold medals (27).
Tussle For Second Place Between Maharashtra And Haryana
However, Maharashtra looks safe in the second position thanks to their overall medal count of 96 compared to Haryana’s 52. Also Maharashtra has 40 silver medals whereas Haryana has only 18 silver medals.
Kerala is closely behind on fourth with a Gold medal count of 19. Punjab falls into the fifth place with 14 Gold medals while Madhya Pradesh is currently in sixth with 13. Jharkhand moved into the top ten after they won three gold medals on Day 9.
