National Games Medal Table Day 12: Kerala Climbs To Second

Haryana had just about seen off the challenges of Maharashtra for second position in National Games on Day 11. The tables turned again and a totally new player is now sitting in second position. Day 12 of National Games saw hosts Kerala climb to second position on the Medal Table after brilliant performances from the team members in various events. The state piled up 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 13 bronze medals on the day from various disciplines.

Services Closing In On Third Consecutive Championship

Apart from Kerala, Services also had a good outing on Day 12. They look unchallengeable at the top of the medals table. They won 13 Gold medals and took the total gold count to 81. Services also won 4 Silver and 7 Bronze medals.

Bad Day For Haryana And Maharashtra

Haryana who were second in the Medal Tally yesterday managed only three gold medals on the day. Maharashtra dropped to fourth in the Medal Tally after securing just one Gold medal.

Punjab and Madhya Pradesh are still in fierce competition for the fifth spot. Both states have 22 Gold medals each. However, Punjab is currently ahead thanks to the overall medal count of 84 compared to Madhya Pradesh’s 79.

Manipur, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka completed the top ten in that order.
