Thanks to their solid win against West Indies, South Africa has climbed to second position in Pool B of the ICC World Cup Points Table.
A brilliant knock from AB de Villiers ensured South Africa’s rise in the Pool B standings of the ICC World Cup Points Table. South Africa now has four points from three matches and is in second position. India also has four points in Pool B but they have only played two matches in the tournament so far.
Elsewhere, Ireland and West Indies have four points and look poised to reach the quarters. UAE and Pakistan are yet to get some points on the table while Zimbabwe has managed to get two with a win over UAE.
New Zealand still reign supreme in Pool A of the ICC World Cup Points Table with six points from three matches. The hosts are unbeaten in the tournament so far and have the best run rate in the pool as well.
Sri Lanka is closely behind with four points from three matches while Australia has three points from two matches. Bangladesh is also in the running for a quarter final place with three points. Meanwhile, England is struggling to get its form right and will need to pull out a few wins to progress to the next stage.
