New Zealand secured a spot in the quarter-finals after defeating Australia by one wicket at Eden Park in Auckland. Here is a quick look at the ICC Cricket world cup points table as it stands:
The match between the two hosts New Zealand and Australia was the show stealer from Pool A on February 28. Despite posting a small target for their opponents, Australia fought like winners and pushed New Zealand to the edge.
The close one wicket win gave New Zealand two points nevertheless and a guaranteed spot in the quarter finals. UAE meanwhile is still yet to get a point to their name after three matches. They are sixth in the standings with only Pakistan behind them.
