Shagun Chowdhary, who had recently impressed with her performance in the 2015 National Games, led amongst the Indian shooters at the ongoing ISSF World Cup Shotgun at Acapulco, Mexico. The 31-year-old Indian, who finished 13th in the women’s trap event had a score of 69 (21, 24, 24).
Her compatriot Shreyasi Singh scored 63 (23, 20, 20) and was placed 35th.
Corey Cogdell takes the first gold of the 2015 World Cup Shotgun
2008 Olympic Bronze medalist Corey Cogdell announced her return to the shooting arena in style after a year long sabbatical. The American trapshooter bagged gold in the event, beating Australian Laetisha Scanlan. Cogdell hit 13 targets, as opposed to Scanlan’s nine.
Maiden ISSF World Cup medal for Natalie
Newbie Natalie Ellen Rooney took bronze – her first ISSF World Cup medal, with 13 hits, getting the better of American Kayle Browning, who scored 11.
