Australia and Afghanistan locked horns in Pool A today. The hosts came out on top with an impressive performance and now have five points from four matches.
Australia is currently sitting pretty at third position in Pool A of the ICC World Cup Points Table. Afghanistan on the other hand is sixth in the seven team group with just two points from their four matches. New Zealand is leading Pool A with eight points and is unbeaten so far in the tournament.
Pakistan’s win over UAE was the story of Pool B today. This is Pakistan’s second win of the tournament from four matches and they now have four points.
UAE are yet to get on the board. India on the other hand is leading Pool B with an unbeaten record and six points in the bank. India is closely followed by South Africa who have played one game more than India. West Indies and Ireland are in contention for a quarter final spot along with Pakistan and also have garnered four points each.
