1. Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)
Legendary Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara has scored 541 runs in this edition of the ICC world cup and still leads the list of the highest run-getters. In addition, he scored four back to back centuries which is a new world record. Apart from his batting prowess, he has also bagged 8 dismissals from behind the stumps.
2. Martin Guptill (New Zealand)
New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill has been under the shadow, owing to Brendon McCullum’s fireworks at the start of the innings. He has aggregated 532 runs and still has a game to play. Guptill needs to score just 10 runs in order to get to the top of the list of highest run-scorers.
3. Mitchell Starc (Australia)
Mitchell Starc has undoubtedly been one of the most lethal bowlers of the ICC World Cup 2015. With 20 wickets from 8 matches, Starc is in a close contest with Trent Boult of New Zealand (21 wickets).
