Seventh seeds Leander Paes and Martina Hingis reached the Wimbledon 2015 mixed doubles final beating the top-seeded American duo of Mike Bryan and Bethanie Mattek-Sands 6-3, 6-4 on Friday. Leander and Martina will thus be seeking their second Slam title together this year after having triumphed at the Australian Open earlier in January.
The result comes on a brilliant day for India at the 2015 Championships where Indian players had two more wins.

Earlier, the women’s doubles top seeds Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis made it to the summit clash by thrashing the fifth-seeded American pair of Racquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears 6-1, 6-2. They will now face the second-seeded Russian pair of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.
Sumit Nagal also emerged victorious in boys’ doubles. The eighth-seeded pair of Nagal and Nam Hoang Ly beat the Japanese duo of Yusuke Takahashi and Jumpei Yamasaki 6-2, 6-3 to make an entry into the semi-finals.
Next up for them is the fifth-seeded duo of Miomir Kecmanovic and Casper Ruud.
Paes-Hingis put up a dominating display against the French Open champions
In the battle of the Australian Open champions versus the French Open champions, it was the Indo-Swiss pair who came out on top with a masterful display. They broke their opponents twice in the first set and once in the second set to wrap up the semi-final contest in 1 hour 12 minutes.
Leander has seven Grand Slam mixed doubles titles while Hingis has two.
