Upsets in High Jump

Annu Rani, with an effort of 54.67 metres, took gold for Uttar Pradesh, while Haryana’s Pushpa Jakhar took silver (49.69 metres) and Karnataka’s Shaheja Hani took bronze (48.72m) .
In the women’s 4 x 100 metres relay event, Dutee Chand, Srabani Nanda, Jauna Murmu and Purnima Hembram, representing Orissa, took gold (46.20 seconds), while Kerala took silver (47.47) and Maharashtra took bronze (47.57).
MA Prajusha took gold in the women’s triple jump (13.33 metres), to add another gold to Kerala’s kitty. Silver was bagged by Chhattisgarh’s Amita Baby (12.92 metres) and bronze by Bengal’s Bhairavi Roy (12.79 metres).
