First half: U Mumba gain upper hand
U Mumba kick-started the proceedings through Anup Kumar, with the first raid of the match. The Mumbai skipper took some time to find his feet but Rishank Devadiga, the other raider and the defensive unit covered up with a couple of quick points to get an early lead. Jaipur’s raiding duo of Rajesh Narwal and Jasvir Singh faltered initially and gave away crucial points to their opponents.
The first 20 minutes of the game belonged to the defenders of both teams as they combined well to cancel out the incoming raids. At the end of the first half, the score read 16-15 in favour of U Mumba. Jaipur were not much successful in playing to their strengths as their raiders misfired quite often.
Second half: Jeeva Kumar steals vital defense points to lead U Mumba to victory

The score was tied at 25-25 with only 3 minutes remaining. Rishank Devadiga then stole a touch point to put U Mumba into the lead. More trouble followed for Jaipur as Rajesh Narwal and Jasvir Singh were taken down by Jeeva Kumar and co. and Anup Kumar pulled out another successful raid.
Jaipur showed some fight towards the end but fell a point shy of levelling the score. Hence, U Mumba emerged victorious with a score of 29-28. Jeeva Kumar was the star of the match as he scored 9 defense points.
