Indian wrestlers ended their campaign at the FILA World Championships on a disappointing note with none of the grapplers managing to secure a single medal. All 3 Indians in action on the last day of the World Championships lost their initial rounds of their respective Greco-Roman bouts.
Hardeep Singh who was competing in the 98kg passed the qualification round but stumbled in the Round of 16 to Estonian Ardo Arusaar 1-3.
KK Yadav (71 kg) too met with the same fate as his qualification round success was met with disappointment in the Round of 16. Yadav fell to Kazakh Demeu Zhadrayev 0-4.
Ravinder Singh of 59kg couldn’t better his compatriots’ performances as he too went down to Kazuma Kuramoto of Japan 1-3.
