The Indian women’s wrestling team, led by Commonwealth Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat , put up a top-notch performance at the Kazakhstan President’s Cup held in Astana, Kazakhstan which was held between 24th and 26th July. They finished 2nd overall to bag the silver medal as hosts Kazakhstan-1 finished with top honours. The male wrestlers and the Greco-Roman wrestlers failed to match their women counterparts’ feat as they finished 4th and 8th respectively.
