First half: Dabang Delhi overpower U Mumba towards the end
Despite playing at a neutral venue, both U Mumba and Dabang Delhi saw plenty of supporters flocking in at the Gachibowli stadium. Dabang Delhi proved to be worthy opponents for U Mumba as they followed them closely for a greater part of the first half and overtook them in the 19th minute. Sangli-born Kashiling Adake along with his new raiding partner Dadaso Balaso Awad put pressure on the Mumbai defensive trio of Mohit Chhillar, Surender Nada and Vishal Mane. However, Anup Kumar and Rishank Devadiga made up for the defensive errors as they picked up raid points regularly. It was Delhi who led at the end of the first half, with a score of 12-10.

This brought Mumbai a vital 6-point advantage at the end of the 35th minute as the score read 26-20.
