India’s Joshna Chinappa marched into the Final of Victorian Open Squash Tournament after defeating eight seeded Christine Nunn of Australia 11-7, 11-5, 11-9.

Joshna Chinappa, who is seeded third in the tournament faced off against the eight seeded Christine Nunn of Australia in the Semi-finals. The Indian had a comfortable time throughout the match and wrapped up the tie in straight games. The first game saw her win 11-7 which was followed by a dominant performance in the second game. Nunn showed some fight in the third game but could not outclass Joshna who looked determined.
The final score read 11-7, 11-5, 11-9 in favor of Joshna. She will now face No.2 Line Hansen of Denmark. Hansen defeated Siyoli Waters of South Africa in the Semi-Finals with a score of 15-13, 12-10, 11-3.
In the men’s singles, India’s Mahesh Mangaokar was defeated by Ryan Cuskelly of Australia. Cuskelly, who is the top seed in the tournament, won the match with a score of 11-6, 11-6, 11-6. Cuskelly is the favorite to win the tournament and has dropped only one game so far.
