Ronda Rousey was in action at the UFC 190 Pay-Per-View last day and just like her previous fights, she destroyed her opponent inside the octagon.
12-0 for Ronda Rousey
Brazilian Bethe Correia was the challenger for Ronda’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship this time around. Bethe made the fight personal when she mouthed off about Ronda’s personal life, which in turn heated up the champion further.
The Rio de Janeiro crowd was firmly behind Bethe during the start but it was not enough to save her from the punches of Ronda. Both the fighters tried to land punches once the bell rang but it was Ronda who found success in her effort. She dropped bombs with her fists and knocked out Bethe in just 34 seconds!
It was her twelfth consecutive win and she has won her last three matches with a combined time of 64 seconds. Ronda dedicated the match to professional wrestler ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper, who recently passed away due to cardiac arrest.
“I said the exact same thing she was saying to me at weigh-ins; she was screaming in my face at weigh-ins, she was saying, ‘Don’t cry’. So, I turned around after I knocked her out and said, ‘Don’t cry”, Ronda said in the post-fight conference.
Ronda will now face Meisha Tate in her next match. Ronda is 2-0 against Meisha but at the same time, Meisha is the only fighter apart from Liz Carmouche that pushed Ronda beyond the four-minute mark.
