Home team Dabang Delhi locked horns with Patna Pirates in match 39 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League. In a one-sided affair, Dabang Delhi defeated Patna 45-26 to keep their semifinal hopes alive.
Dabang Delhi enjoy solid Win
Dabang Delhi enjoyed a solid start to the game thanks to their raiders Kashiling Adake and Rohit Kumar Choudhary. Adake produced a super raid early in the game and set the tone for the rest of the match. At one point of the match, Adake dismissed four players of the opposite team which happened to be one of the best super raids of the tournament so far.
Patna Pirates, who had a good match against Bengaluru last time around, suffered three all-outs against Delhi. The first one came in the 9th minute while the second and third came in 13th and 15th minutes respectively. Apart from the Dabang raiders who got their share of points, Rakesh Bhardwaj and Ravinder Pahal also caused problems for Patna with some aggressive defending.
Adake and Rakesh were the stand out players for Delhi. Kashiling amassed a whopping 13 points for his side. For Patna Pirates, both Sandeep Narwal and Deepak Narwal were ineffective and failed to provide a strong challenge.
The dominance in raids and defense ensured a 45-26 win for Delhi. The win has kept their hopes of reaching the play-off alive. As for Patna Pirates, they are in deep trouble at the moment and the losing margin of twenty points did them no good as well.
