Defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers came up with a top-notch performance as they thrashed Dabang Delhi 51-21 in Match 40 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League in Delhi on Monday. All-rounder Rajesh Narwal was the star of the night as he single-handedly accounted for 15 raid points in the match, to go with 4 tackle points. His tally of 19 points from an individual is also the best in the history of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League. The victory margin of 30 points is also the biggest margin of victory in this edition of the league. With this win, the Jaipur Pink Panthers are inching closer towards a place in the semi-finals and they seem to be getting better and better after every game.

Having lost 26-35 to Dabang Delhi at home last month, the Jaipur Pink Panthers were eyeing a revenge at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex. They got off to an aggressive start and managed to bundle the opposition out for the first time in the 14th minute. After suffering an all-out, Dabang Delhi never looked in contention as their defenders had no clue how to stop Jasvir Singh and Rajesh Narwal, who were the driving force for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Ravinder Pahal, who is this season’s most successful defender was completely off-colour as he let go of a handful of points. The score read 22-9 at the end of half-time and Dabang Delhi were left stunned by the resurgence of the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers were in no mood to hold fire as they continued to win points through raid and defense. Jasvir Singh and Rajesh Narwal continued to be the key contributors and the defenders complemented them with their spot-on tackles. The Jaipur Pink Panthers inflicted five all-outs in the match which took their lead past 25 points and sealed their opponents’ fate in the 30th minute itself. For Delhi, Kashiling Adake was the lone bright spot as he scored 9 raid points. The final score read 51-21 and Jaipur walked away with a gigantic victory.
