Final Squads Shape-up For ISL
The Indian Super League teams have started to take final shape, as the season is getting near. Still, there are a few gaps that need to be filled, and teams are ensuring to field a strong squad in the upcoming season.
In order to create a competitive team for the forthcoming season, the arrival of new players is still on. Teams are signing new players not only to make a balanced or strong squad, but also to create competition within their players.
Owing to teams giving final touch to their squads, this has been a very busy week in the ISL transfer window. It was the Chennaiyin FC being the most active in the week, signing two midfielders (Manuele Blasi and Raphael Augusto) and a defender (Mailson Alves).
The Chennaiyin FC Manager Marcos Materazzi on the signing of the Italian stated, “He will bring plenty of quality and experience to our team. He has all the attributes of a top central midfielder and that is exactly what we were looking for.“
About the Brazilian duo the manager added, “Augusto is a great young prospect who can have a big influence in midfield. Technically and physically he is at a very good level.“
