Second International Challenge Title Of the Year For Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy
The title proved to be the second International Challenge Title of the year and fourth overall for the duo. They had earlier won the Lagos international championship back in July.
The team has earned a whopping 1340 points from the win and is expected to make a leap in the rankings. It would be crucial for Olympics qualification as only the top 16 teams get Olympic berths. The Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy pair is currently ranked 21st in the World, with their best performance having come at the US Open Grand Prix, where they finished runners-up.
Coach Pullela Gopichand praised the duo on their win.
“This is a very good win for them. It will help their qualification bid for Rio Olympics. They have been very focused and are working hard. It is good that there are getting good results now,” Gopichand said.
