Guidance from Foreign players and coaches helping the domestic players: Eugeneson Lyngdoh
FC Pune City’s “hot property” Eugeneson Lyngdoh commented upon his experience of playing alongside world-class footballers and the current football scenario in India. The 29-years-old central midfielder who was signed by the club for a whopping 1.05 crore rupees was also the best midfielder of the 2014-15 I-League season. Here is what he said:
It is a dream to play alongside players who you only saw on TV. The experience has been great so far and we have managed to gel in quite well with the senior players. The international stars like Mutu, Zokora and Tuncay have been guiding us well and we are fortunate to have a coach like David Platt. There is immense footballing talent in India but we lack the right kind of guidance. If in the right hands, the future of Indian football is very bright.
