A brace from Indian star Sunil Chhetri helped Mumbai City FC secure a win against Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League.
Mumbai had a strong start to the game as Sony Norde was giving headaches for the Delhi defense. Norde then changed the course of the game when he provided Chhetri with an assist in the 13th minute to make the score 1-0. Both the teams shared attacking duties afterwards but it was Mumbai that scored again in the 74th minute. The combination of Norde and Chhetri was at it again and Chhetri completed his brace.
First Win For Mumbai City FC in ICL
The win happened to be the first of Mumbai City FC in this year’s ISL. They had previously lost two matches and drawn one. The team came in with a lot of changes ahead of the match and it apparently paid of pretty well. Mumbai currently has four points from their four matches and has moved to seventh position in the league. They are only above Northeast United who currently have three points to their name.
The next match of the Indian Super League will see Kerala Blasters going up against FC Goa. Kerala will be looking to end their two match losing streak while Goa will be looking to pile the pressure on the yellow army.
