Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters and Coach Peter Taylor have decided to part ways following a mutual decision.
Bad Form of Kerala Blasters leads to departure
Kerala Blasters, who appointed Peter Taylor as the coach this season started off their campaign with a solid home win against North East United. The team, however, failed to get a win afterwards and stumbled to a draw and four straight losses. Taylor, who had the experience of managing many teams, felt the pressure and eventually decided it was time to walk away from the position.
“Kerala Blasters announced that Peter Taylor has left the club with immediate effect following a mutual decision. Kerala Blasters thanks Peter for his efforts and contribution during the association,” said a press release.
Peter’s assistant, Trevor Morgan will be the new man in charge at the club and he will be feeling the pressure right away.
“Trevor Morgan will assume the responsibilities of Kerala Blasters team,” added the press release.
Kerala Blasters are currently last in the league with just four points and it will take a miracle to turn their season around. Their latest defeat came at the hands of FC Pune City and it apparently was the final nail in the coffin for Taylor.
