Heena Sidhu gave the nation a reason to be happy as she won the Gold medal in the 10m air pistol event in Asian Shooting Champion.
Heena had a dominating performance in the finals with a score of 198.2 to defeat Gundegma Otreyad of Mongolia. Otreyad had a score of 198 and took home the silver. The bronze went to Jangmi Kim of Korea as she scored 176.2.
Golds Galore for India at Asian Shooting championship
In the Junior 10m Air Pistol event for Women, Shri Nivetha came home with the Gold. The Indian had a score of 195.8 when Silver medalist Shinemurun Nyamdorj of Mongolia had 195.4. Heesun Kim of Korea won the bronze medal.
In the team’s event for juniors, Shri Nivetha, Oshin Tawani and Shreya Gawande won gold. They had a total score of 1114. The fourth gold of the day came thanks to the 10M air pistol uouth team event for women. The team consisted of Nayani Bharadwaj (374), Harshada Nithave (374) and Malaika Goel (365).
25m Pistol Men’s junior event also went in favor of India when Shivam Shukla won the gold. Shivam later won the silver in the team event alongside Arjun Das and Achal Pratap Grewal. Angad Bajwa
Junior Skeet Men’s individual and team event Gold medals came to the nation as well. Angad Bajwa won the Individual gold and he later teamed up with Anant Naruka and Arjun Mann to win the team gold.
