Pankaj Advani has made it to the final 32 of the IBSF World Snooker championship while Varsha Sanjeev crashed out.
Varsha, who earlier made it to the knockout round of 24 in the women’s category faced off against veteran Theresa Whitten of Australia. The 18-year-old Indian failed to keep up with the veteran and the match ended 2-4 in favor of Whitten.
Elsewhere, Arantxa Sanchez of India had a dominating 4-0 win against Anna Lynch of Australia. Although Arantxa was not able to make any big breaks through the match, she did maintain consistency throughout to take home the win.
Pankaj Advani Reaches Last 32
In the Men’s category, Pankaj Advani, Dharminder Lily and Faisal Khan made it to the round of 32. Lily had a solid win against Antii Tolvanen of Finland. The match ended with a score of 4-0 in favor of the Indian. Faisal, on the other hand, had a tough outing against Kok Leong Lim of Malaysia. The match had a close score of 4-3.
Advani, meanwhile, defeated Peter Bullen of Belgium with a score of 4-0. The Indian champion was in charge throughout the match and took home the match comfortably.
Rafath Habib and Alok Kumar were the other Indians who secured wins in the IBSF World Snooker Championship.
