Indian cueist Pankaj Advani has pocketed his 15th World Championship win at the IBSF World Snooker Championship in Hurghada.
Advani defeated Zhua Xintong in the final of the tournament with a score of 8-6 in the best of 15 match. The match started off on a positive note for the Indian as he was leading 5-2 in the first session. The score then escalated to 7-4 in the second half but Advani held his nerves to complete the win and add another championship to his resume.
The win marked Advani’s first 15-Red Snooker championship title since 2003. This win also ensures momentum for Advani after clinching the IBSF Billiards Crown in September this year.
Advani had earlier defeated Lukas Kleckers in the semi-final of the tournament with a score of 7-5 to reach the finals. Kleckers did pose a strong challenge for the Indian but he managed to gain the upper hand and booker his date with Zhua.
