Kerala Blasters and Mumbai City FC engaged in a 1-1 draw last night and it apparently ended both team’s hopes of making it into the semis.
Almost five teams are fighting it out for the fourth place in the ISL Points table with just three more rounds to go in the league stages.
Northeast United and FC Goa engaged in a solid draw a day before and it apparently opened up the table once more. Northeast currently occupy the fourth position in the league with 17 points to their name from 12 matches. Chennaiyin FC are right behind them with 16 points from 12 matches but the remaining three teams on bottom of the table still have chances of making it into the final four.
Pune has the upper hand as they have 15 points from 11 matches. If they could win their extra match in hand, Pune could jump to fourth in the league. Mumbai City and Kerala Blasters does have a daunting task but mathematically, they are out of the running.
Here is the complete ISL Points table after yesterday’s match.
