Vijender Singh is all set to take on Bulgarian veteran Samet Hyuseinov in his third professional boxing fight.
Vijender, who is currently 2-0 in his professional career, will be looking to continue his unbeaten run by getting the better of Samet. The fight will take place in the Manchester Arena on December 19 and it will be featured on Frank Warren’s end of the year t title extravaganza ‘X-Mas Cracker’.
Hyuseinov has a professional record of 7-7 and he will be looking to put his experience into use at the fight.
“This is another important fight for me that I must win so the pressure is on. I’m unbeaten and intend to stay that way going into next year where I am looking at my first title fight so I’m not letting Hyuseinov mess up my plans to get my first championship belt,” Vijender Singh said.
Vijender also added that he is well aware of Hyuseinov’s experience.
“While I got rid of Whiting and Gillen early, I will have to see what Hyuseinov brings to the ring on the night. If I feel that I can take him out early I will go in for the early knockout and get the job done nice and quick. He’s very experienced though and with 14 fights and 68 rounds he’s got the advantage over me in that department. It’s a step up for me though and if I can deal with him before the end of the four rounds then I know that I’m improving. I am also looking at ending year 2015 with a win,” he added
The X-Mas Cracker will also boast WBO World Middleweight Championship match between Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders along with the WBO World Super Welterweight Championship bout between Liam Smith and Jimmy Kelly.
