The UFC fans all over the world were shocked to the core as the much hyped Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo match ended in a first round KO.
The match which was fought to decide the undisputed Featherweight champion, ended in just 13 seconds when McGregor landed a vicious left hand on Aldo. Aldo was immediately knocked out and this marked his first defeat in over a decade.
With the win, McGregor has stamped his domination in the division and will be looking to pile up one the same.
Elsewhere, a new middleweight champion was crowned in the pay-per-view when Luke Rockhold defeated Chris Weidman in a brutal match. The match was pushed to four rounds when Rockhold went on to win via Technical knockout and ended Weidman’s undefeated streak.
The fight of the night perhaps came thanks to Damian Maia and Gunnar Nelson. Both fighters showcased some excellent grappling throughout the three rounds and the match was won by Maia by Unanimous decision.
Elsewhere, Max Holloway picked up a win against Jeremy Stephens when Yoel Romero picked up a win against Ronaldo Souza via a split decision.
