Indian pairing of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy ended their 2015 on a high by winning the Mexico City GP title.
Seeded third in the tournament, Manu and Sumeeth overcame the challenge of Bodin Issara and Nipitphon Puangpuapech in the final.
The first game proved to be a competitive and entertaining one. Manu and Sumeeth saw six-game points slip away before finally taking home the game 22-20.
The Second game proved to be more comfortable for the Indians. They led it 11-6 at the mid-game break and then wrapped things up at 21-18.
The final score read 22-20, 21-18 in favour of the Indians in the match, which lasted just 36 minutes.
They had earlier lost to Issara and Puangpuapech in the Yonex Grand Prix and the win in Mexico City serve as a sweet revenge.
The championship win comes as a great boost for the World Number 20 Indian pair ahead of 2016. They won three titles this season with the other two coming at Lagos International and Belgian International. The duo will now be looking to make their mark in 2016 where the tournaments come thick and fast.
