Basketball scraped from South Asian Games

In the only uneventful happening at the South Asian Games yesterday, the organizers had to scrap Basketball from the scheduled games. The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) de-recognized the event due to interference from the government.

However, the organizers failed to reach any positive conclusion and as a result the event has been scrapped.
