The last time we heard of the Asia Cup, Shahid Afridi smashed Ravichandran Ashwin for 2 consecutive sixes in the last over of a game to push India out of contention for reaching the finals of the tournament. That was in 2014, when the tournament used to have a 50-over format. However, courtesy the fast paced changes that the game of cricket has progressively embraced, the premier cricket clash of the subcontinent has been turned into a T20 tournament. Asia Cup 2016 thus promises to be the ideal appetizer for World T20, which is scheduled to begin on March 8th.
